Yesterday Morning

We had a significant thunderstorm two nights ago and I woke up a few times from loud thunder and neither of these incidents woke Alliclaus up. One of the thunder claps was so loud, that I stared at the ceiling for a few minutes listening over the monitor to see if I could hear Alliclaus stirring at all. Truthfully, her deep sleep is not surprising. Andiclaus and I are both deep rain sleepers.

In any case, I got up around six and headed downstairs to finish up some homework. Andiclaus waited to get up until Alliclaus was demanding to get out of her crib. He brought her down shortly after seven.

Here's what he told me:

"I realized, she's been asleep for more than twelve hours and she hasn't made a peep. I thought, the last thing I need today is for my daughter to be dead."

I ask you, Internet. Which day, exactly, would that not be the last thing he needs? On the other hand, yeah. It would've sucked.

Hmm. Yeah, that would make for a bad day.

Michael slept until 9 this morning and he is normally up at 7. I kept thinking I should go into his room and check, and then I kept thinking, what am I going to do if he's not breathing? When I heard him start chatting in his crib I almost cheered.

He's two and a half. When do we stop worrying about this?

Ok, I must admit that I have gone to check on Chloe when she has been sleeping too long to make sure she is Ok. But it sure does make your heart skip a beat.

Oh my gosh...that's super hilarious. And I can totally hear him saying it.
