I've kind of started hating writing book reviews. But I do find that it helps me remain focused on my book list goals and exactly how far behind I am.
So in the interest of keeping myself accountable, I am going to continue writing here about the books I've read, but they won't be full reviews (unless I feel strongly about the books). They'll be more like book jacket blurbs. Two or three sentences that sum up my experience of the book.
Let's dive in, shall we?
Rich kids have problems, too. Wah! Is the solution to give up some affluence and live a life of simplicity? The hell, you say. Just love yourself more, or some such nonsense. Bah. (Somehow, I'm guessing they won't be asking to print this on the paperback edition.) (Not recommended.)
The Prison Angel (Anthony's First Pick)
I've long thought I would make an excellent nun. Except for the part where I'm married. And pregnant. Oh, and Protestant. And I kind of swear a lot. But this story only confirmed my suspicions. I love nuns! (Recommended.)
Frank Rich is a pretty cool guy. I enjoyed the book. Nothing new, really, but it's nice to have all the info in one place. And the timetable thingie at the end is great for beating up conservative sparring partners. (Recommended.)
So, there you go. I think I'll finish a few more books in the next week or so and I'll let you know how those go as well. Twelve weeks pregnant tomorrow.
That's the way I like my book reviews...short and sweet!

I love your comments about the Prison Angel. Sounds like a good read for someone like me too!
