Jodi awarded me a Thinking Blogger Award for my recent post about religion. It's shocking to me that anyone would consider me a thinker, but I am not one to scoff at praise. Thank you, Jodi. It's very encouraging to hear that people are reconsidering their religious stereotypes after reading my writing.
I have been instructed to follow "the rules." Here they are:
- If, and only if, you get tagged, write a post with links to 5 blogs that make you think,
- Link to this post so that people can easily find the exact origin of the meme,
- Optional: Proudly display the 'Thinking Blogger Award' with a link to the post that you wrote (here is an alternative gold version if silver doesn't fit your blog).
Without any more discussion, here is my list of awardees:
- Thomas from American Sweatpants: In addition to convincing me that sweatpants can be a life uniform, Thomas' posts about politics always get me thinking. And laughing.
- Bad Penguin: I've enjoyed Bad Penguin's writing for a long time now. Between fighting infertility and developing a new healthy lifestyle, hers has been a journal I've loved. Her husband's mother is dying. And I think she wrote about it beautifully.
- Sarah from Sarah's Super Sblog:Sure, she's my best friend and my future sister-in-law, but what really gets me about Sarah's blog is her commitment to a cause. Why, just last week Sarah totally needed to go to Michael's and instead she hauled her ass all the way out to Hobby Lobby. When she makes you dead, watch out! She's not kidding.
Okay, so technically, I only awarded three Thinking Blogger Awards, but I'm sure the rest of you think a lot. But with so many of you already receiving them, I don't have time to go through the entire blogroll to find which of you haven't. After all, I only have two weeks left in class. Crap! Make that one.
You are welcome. And I meant ever word, so deserved.

Thank you. It gave me a nice boost to hear that even as I'm struggling with this situation, I'm coming up with something useful to say about it.

Your post did have me thinking and really reconsidering my "spiritual-ness." I commend you for discussing a very touchy subject quite eloquently.
