When this whole diaper burn incident started, I knew it was something I fed Alliclaus. Then the doctor said virus and I believed him. Then I went back to thinking food. Now, I'm pretty sure she's actually sick.
Generally, Alliclaus has one or two dirty diapers a day. Today, every single diaper was a crazy mess. Andiclaus changed her before her nap, then after her nap. Then she wouldn't go down for her afternoon nap and while she was fussing she pooped again. So I changed her and put her back down. I must have been delirious because then her diaper leaked all over her crib. Then she had the scariest diaper she's ever had that had whole lima beans in it.
It's almost impossible for a single person to change Alliclaus' diaper at this point. We can't do it on the changing table, because she is bucking herself practically off the edge. We can't really get her clean except in the bathtub.
I honestly feel like I'm not going to make it another day, and I really just want to go back to baby food and see if it will clear this all up.
I promise this will be my last post about diaper rash. Tomorrow I'm totally going to brag about how I'm finally (!) losing weight. Also, possibly a book review. It's of my favorite book so far.
awwwww poor kid .... maybe Bananas? Or other solidifying foods? HUGS

Can't wait to see which book you loved. I just finished "Honeymoon" by James Patterson and need new reading material.
Hope Alli's behind clears up soon!

Honestly, Butt Paste! Boudreaux's Butt Paste! I promise it will have her little butt feeling better in no time flat, and you'll never use anything else ever again. Give her a nice warm bath, and when she's all clean put some of the stuff on, it won't sting so she probably won't figh it after you put the first dose on and she can see it doesn't sting. Then just put it on every time you change her diaper even after the rash clears up, for a few days. Also pick up fragrance-free wipes to use for a little bit (mentioned all of this in my last post but still- making babies and keeping them butt burn free is pretty high on my to-do list)
Whenever Lady gets diaper rash, since it's because she has the runs, it always turns into the butt-burn type of diaper rash. The Butt Paste is the only thing that ever orked for her, and ironically (or thankfully?) it's also the mildest. She actually requests it from time to time when she spots it during diaper changes. Oh, and she calls it "butt cheese" which I find endlessly hilarious.
And WOWZA! Full lima beans?! Poor Alliclaus! And Poor you guys!

Another thing we did when the girls had really bad rashes was put straight cornstarch on top of whatever cream we were using. I hope it all is better soon.
I have a great W/W soup recipe thats easy as pie and virtually no points. Let me now if you are interested.

I dunno...I'm of the same mind you are, that it has something to do with the food. I'm no doctor, but I do know that they ain't infallible...by a long shot. Go with your gut--and hers.

I am so sorry Alli is still so miserable--I am sure her bottom is killing her. Hopefully it will clear up soon and she can get back to being the happy little girl you love!

HEY. At Alliclaus's birthday party, I was going to comment that you were looking really nice that day. But then, I didn't know if that was a negative thing to say - it's not like you looked bad before. You know what I mean? So now, I can say it - you're looking good Mr. Kotter!
Hey, hang in there. I had some dark, dark days last week, so I totally feel you. Seriously.
