You may have noticed that I've been MIA for awhile. Probably not, since it seems like almost everyone uses some kind of feed reader to read the blogs these days. I've only been posting book reviews for a couple of weeks, but I think I'll be back to a regular posting type thingie now.
It's been a rather eventful couple of weeks, but at the end of it all, nothing's really changed.
When life gets stressful (like that time when I was pregnant), I tend to stop posting. I'm a very pronounced introvert, so when the going gets tough, I get increasingly introspective. Things have been crazy around here, what with possible job changes and cross-country moves, but in the end, it looks like we'll be here in Kansas City a little longer.
So, what do you really come here for? Baby snaps.

Andrés' mom got Alliclaus this dress and coat for Christmas. I love it, but it's kind of dressy for everyday. So we put her in it to take pictures and go to church.

She hasn't done this face since she was a teeny newborn. Until last week. It is making a reappearance.

Alliclaus recently learned what a tongue is. She now feels it necessary to teach us.

Salem says hi. He also says, "I dare you to bring another baby home. You think pissing on your laundry is bad? Wait until you see what else I have up my sleeve!"

Alliclaus says "Pttttthfttttt!"
Red really is her signature color! Ü

I think age 1 to age 2 is pretty magical. Before language, but full of personality and joy. She's darling!! Have fun.
And I hope things settle down soon. Limbo is no fun!

Glad you made it through all the stress. I've been totally stressed out too lately, mostly due to work, and it's rough. I can imagine that a cute baby makes it much better though.

Oh my god. I need to go back and read your archives. Cat piss on laundry? Husband's coworkers saying you must have just been an incubator based on your child's looks? Any chance you have Anne of Green Gables anywhere on your list because if so I think you are a kindred spirit, bosom friend. Our cat growing up used my closet as a personal john, and when I moved my stuff the little minx'd sniff it out and shower it with her pungent, eye watering urine. So sorry!
I'll be checking in hoping two things, first that you keep writing (I am old school and haven't done the feed or blogline thing...confusion) and second that your feline agitator keeps her fluids where they belong...my neighbor's couch is available for pissing, which I would highly encourage and pay applicants dearly for!

It really is not a good idea for me to visit your blog when I am hormonal, because the baby pics (particularly the second one with the little face and the dimples) make my ovaries melt. Please remind me that I am too young to force my boyfriend to impregnate me (and also that that is probably very, very illegal).
Babiesssssssss.
