Me and the Internets...BFF

I've been a very bad blog friend. See that list over there?----->

I read all those blogs. And I NEVER comment. I am a horrible lurker who never lets her friends know how much she enjoys their writing, how she is thinking about them and their various situations, or even just that she is there.

I am changing this. I am leaving comments, people. But I think I sound stupid in them. This is why I don't really comment most of the time. It's a rare post that leaves me feeling that I have something to contribute to the conversation.

But oh well. I am commenting like a mad woman. I started today. Really, I think most of my comments were ridiculous, but I know how much I enjoy my commenters. I thought it was about time I returned the favor. Plus, I'm trying to get better about responding to comments. We'll see how long that lasts (usually about one week).

Incidentally, you NaBloPoMo bloggers, have you guys been getting a lot more traffic this month? I guess the randomizer doohickie is doing its job, because I'm meeting all kinds of new people and I love it. Thank you for stopping by, Internets. Leave a comment so I know how to find you later. I so want to read about your children/recipes/books/drunken debauchery/educational exploits/insert your blog topic here.

MWAH. I love ya.

I'm terrible about commenting as well but I'm trying to do better as evidenced by this comment. :)

Now you went and made me feel all guilty. I don't comment often either and some of the blogs I read are like crack! Damn Amalah, Y, Linda at Sundry and RockstarMommy!!! Damn them to hell with their addictive blogs. I wonder if they have Blog Readers Anonymous groups cropping up anywhere yet?

My traffic has nearly doubled, and I've been having fun using the randomizer to find other sites. I'm usually pretty bad about commenting on most sites, but then I'll go on a commenting frenzy every once in a while and comment on every site I read (which is a lot). I've been commenting on the sites I reach through the randomizer for the most part. This whole NaBloPoMo is really turning out to be a lot of fun.

I know I should comment more than I do, but I can make it through my blogroll in about a third of the time if I don't. Isn't that terrible? I do sometimes wonder if people think I've stopped reading when I haven't.

I randomized you, and I'm glad I did.

I'm not always good at commenting, either, or addressing the comments that I get. There are a few blogs I read that have pretty intimidating comments sections.

I always love your comments!

Don't worry if your comments seem silly--I am sure mine do to! It is just a great way to say, Hey! Plus sometimes it is really nice to hear others thoughts, opinions or just reassuring words on what you may have posted.

Just thought I'd pop in and say hi as I'm trying to visit and comment on as many of the NaBloPoMo blogs as I can. :)

When I'm done doing this, I'm going to comment more on the blogs that I have been visiting prior to finding out about nablopomo. :)

Well hello there, just found you by surfing through the NaBloPoMo randomizer. I sympathize with your issue about leaving comments, as I will probably rewrite this comment twenty different times, then hit the post button, then spend the next three days fussing at myself for leaving a completely stupid comment on a complete stranger's blog.

I suffer the same trauma even when commenting on blogs that I have been reading for a long time, so just know you're not alone. :)
