Dear Holiday Season,

You're so sneaky. Nobody likes it when you hide behind a corner and then jump out like that. I need, like, seven more months to emotionally and financially prepare for you to be here. Could you maybe consider someone else's needs?

I know you occasionally need to use my office for this or that, but could you kindly stop moving my crap? I don't mean to be all, "Who Moved My Cheese?" I know I need to be flexible to change, but literally, who moved my cheese? And where is it now?

Dude, seriously. The holiday season is sneaking up way to fast, what with Thanksgiving being only about a week and a couple of days away. And I'm cooking dinner. I'm sort of starting to panic.

Ooh... I was just telling IZ (hubby) how overwhelmed I'm feeling this year by the whole thing. We are hosting Thanksgiving, I'm trying to write papers to finish this useless degree program of mine by December, and I'm supposed to clean our house? I don't want to talk about the sundry animals, kids, and jobs I'm juggling.

Maybe I need to write an open letter to my life and let it know that I'm going on vacation.

I'm with Jessie--I feel the panic coming on.
