So I don't have Tivo.
I know. Mourn for me.
I watch pretty crappy stuff on TV and therefore see a lot of really craptastic commercials. Many of them are completely stupid, but there are a couple I love.
(I was totally going to link to them, but I can't access YouTube at work.)
For instance, I love the chicken fries commercial for Burger King. You know the one. (Unless you have Tivo, I suppose.)
"Hey Chicken. You got a lotta nerve hangin' around with those french fries."
"Yeah, maybe you wanna be a french fry."
"Maybe I do."
"Maybe you do."
"Maybe I do."
"Maybe you do."
"Maybe I do."
"Maybe you do, man."
"Maybe...I do wanna be a french fry."
There's this other commercial that I love and I'm not even sure what the product is.
"It's covered in chocolate. I wonder what's insiiiiiide. It's Oreo! The inside tastes just like an Oreo!"
My favorite part of this particular commercial goes like this:
"That's unfortunate."
"I cooon-cuuur."
(Okay, that commercial is a musical so if you don't get it, that's because you really have to hear the music about this wonderful treat.)
Anyway, the point of this story is that I made an ass of myself at work today. One of my coworkers brought in these awesome treats (brownie balls, perhaps) and then wouldn't tell us what was in them. Another coworker came in, tasted one, and said, "it's Oreo."
I shit you not, I was standing at the file cabinet and sang, "The inside tastes just like an Oreo!"
He laughed, but I don't think it was in that good way where people laugh when you do something funny.
BTW, my mom is in town this week and since she requires pictures be taken of the baby everyday, there may be some actual pictures around these parts for the next couple weeks. (Besides, I know that's why you come here and I need to keep all six of you happy.)
I have been with a TiVo or DVR for quite a few years now and on the one hand, I love not having to deal with commercials, but on the other hand, sorta miss them. Well, SOME of them. I could do without Paris biting into a cheeseburger.

Hilarious! I definitely know the commercial you are talking about, and had I been there I would have even done the little dance that all of the co-workers do in the commercial to round out the experience.

You are just a crazy one, yes you are :) I am thinking that an audio post of you singing the song is in order!

I really love the Vonage commerials with that catchy song and the clips of idiots doing stupid shit. The one I really loved isn't playing anymore...the one where the girl is dancing and she bangs into the screen glass door. I love that! I have also been digging the T.G.I. Fridays commercials with their new appetizers...they look so damn good!

Too funny! Btw, since there seems to be so many commercial connaisseurs here - does anyone remember an old Oreo commercial where they talk about a girl named Laura Fisher? The reason I'm asking is that a friend's birthday is coming up and that's her name and I'd love to find it for her. Alas, I've googled my little heart out with no luck :( I know it's a long shot, but if anyone remembers, please let me know :)

I do love me a good commercial! One of my favorites is I think Tidy Scoop cat litter. The cat calls a dog to come over to find the littler box (there's no smell so he can't find it). They go on a hunt through the house and it's quite entertaining. I used to love the Starbucks commercials for the bottles you buy in the store. There was a bee and would make me laugh. Ahhh TV
