a famous blogroll.
I made it. I have since been bumped.
I am not going to say whose blogroll I made, but it was very cool while it lasted. I'm not there anymore. Am I mad about it? Hell no. I almost never post and have you seen the recent drivel?
My husband told me he read some posts about blogroll etiquette and how people get all bent out of shape when they get bumped and then they remove that blogger from their blogroll and then get all huffy and blog about it. I think that is hilarious. I mean, come on! It's a blogroll. Sure, I may have done the happy dance in the privacy of my own office when I realized I had made it, but really? Isn't being on someone popular's blogroll just a bonus?
Either way, while I was up there, I made many new friends who I am very happy to know. If you've commented here recently for the first time, I'm trying to visit your blog to get to know you. But do you see my blogroll? It's hard to keep up.
Oh, I met Cagey yesterday! (I just tried to spell met incorrectly twice - once with two es and once with two ts.) She is beautiful and wonderful and I like her verily. We met at a little knitters' circle (I don't knit - don't tell on me) in the Rivermarket and it was really great. I talked myself out of going home approximately eleventy billion times before making it there, but I made it. I smiled the entire drive home because I'm really glad that I went.
This Saturday's the meet-up with DrinkJack. I'm excited already! (By the way, his name is not Jack and I have no idea how I will avoid calling him that at dinner.)
I understand the excitement of making the blogroll of someone "famous". I'm on one and it made my day, even though I know that the author doesn't ever read my site and probably just linked to mine because I linked to hers. Which is very nice. But so not the same.
Good job on getting out there and meeting people. I hope your loneliness is starting to ease.

Hey, it was great to meet you, too! And Allie? Simply devine - that hair! Is.So.Soft!
Also, the group is not really a knitting group, but a "crafting" group. I call it "knitting" because I am a knitter and it's all me, me, me. You know? I hope you an keep coming, it's a fun group.

I just get excited to have someone comment on my blog...let alone add me to their roll!

I am excited to meet a fellow local. You can call me Jack, I don't mind. I am horrible at names and will probably refer to you as Bethiclaus :) Maybe we should wear name tags???

Your on my blog list so I think you are still technically famous!

My blogroll has you on it too, so I believe that makes me famous by extension! ;-)
I'm glad to hear you had a good time - sounds like there are more fun times ahead!

I understand that you don't want to name drop, but I HAVE to know whose list you were on. Like Jenny, I just get excited when people comment. I need to get out there and read more blogs to get more comments I've been told. My goal is to one day be on Jen Lancasters list. A girl can dream.

I believe I was bumped from the same blogroll. I had a similar experience, though maybe I boo-hooed just a bit to myself when I realized all those lovely people would probably never come back.
Perhaps we'll meet some time. Cagey and I are buds.

Hurrah, I'm first! You can talk yourself out of turning around eleventy billion times, but it only takes once to show up. Ta da, I just worked in a current events reference.
I find it very difficult to call bloggers anything but their bloggity names.
