The Truth

Much as I would like to deny it, I have a confession to make. I am ashamed of this situation and have been hesitant to articulate it myself.

I am a high-maintenance pregnant woman.

I'm really not very high-maintenance in my real life. I'm pretty laid back, or at least have a sense of humor about my situation.

Now, I've turned into a whiny sack of needs.

Andiclaus is the primary recipient of my neediness. I can't figure out how to wash my own legs without eating crap in the bathtub. Therefore, he showers with me. I can't make it up and down the stairs at my apartment, so Andiclaus has to do the laundry. The smell of my kitchen makes me want to throw up, so he cooks and does the dishes.

My fantastic attitude about pregnancy has now begun to impact my classmates as well. I cannot sit in the crappy, plastic, uncomfortable chairs in the classrooms. One of my friends, who works at the school, has been bringing her giant, comfy, leather office chair to class so that I'm not as uncomfortable.

Unfortunately, this makes me even more conspicuous than my 30-week pregnant profile already does.

I'm embarrassed by how high-maintenance I am.

But since I'm whining, and by popular (Sarah) demand, a picture of the sausages residing in my shoes:

Ouch. All I can say is OUCH. Well, I guess I CAN add this: this is a great opportunity for you to say a wee prayer of thanks that you weren't pregnant in SUMMER.

At least you're in the homestretch!

That really looks uncomfortable. I'm sure you're not as high maint as you think you are, and I'm sure Andres is glad to help you. Just hang in there! It's almost through!

I have have have to tell you that I laughed out loud at the fact that Andi showers with you!!! He is the sweetest husband EVER. Can we have him train all the men out there?

Ouch on the feet. So do you recommend this pregnancy thing or should I hold out for a couple more years?

oh Beth, just be grateful thatits not your hands like Mr. Mann!

Im sure Im supposed to give nice comforting word but I have no clue what to say, although I like the at least its not summer comment!

Hang in there, as if you had a choice, and just enjoy getting bathed by some one else, people pay a lot of money for stuff like that and you get it for free!

Don't worry about your high-maintenanceness. Admitting your problem is the first step towards recovery.

How great of your husband to be so supportive! I'm sure it's not easy having to rely on someone for all of that. I bet I'll a pretty demanding pregnant woman too when it comes to my turn.

While my ankles are swollen, my feet aren't (yet). It doesn't look like much fun.
