I just finished my last assignment for the semester. I only had to get a one-day extension. I'm so tired and, like Sarah, I didn't really realize how stressed I had been until now. Mostly, I'm just glad that it's over. But I have a two-week intensive coming up in the middle of January. I have to have all the reading done for the class before it starts, so I really ought to get started on the work now.
If I didn't need my student loan disbursement to buy, you know, a car seat, I might just drop all my classes for next semester and use the pregnancy/baby deal as an excuse. But since I do need that money, I will be putting myself through this again next semester.
I've also decided to apply to the University of Chicago Divinity School which is way competitive and into which I will never be accepted, but I figured I ought to try. But I will not be writing my entrance essay tonight. Tonight I will be cuddling up with my Snoogle and hoping that I soon being to feel the "I'm Done!" euphoria.
duuuuude! you will totally get in!! and i totally remember that gushy "i have money" feeling at disbursement time! i will be paying for that one cashmere sweater for 17 more years...sigh...

Ah, disbursements.... This is my first Christmas out of graduate school. No more three-thousand dollar checks to get me out of Christmas debt. But on the upside, it forced me to cut back on spending and pay for everything in cash. Also a first.
