Bite Me

So, here's the deal. I have stretch marks. And yes, they are very ugly.

However, Palmer's Cocoa Butter, you are not allowed to call them that. Calling my stretch marks ugly does not make me want to buy your product. It simply makes me want to throw the remote control at the TV.

Thanks.

I am truly sorry. I absolutely erupted in stretch marks during my last few weeks, and lo, they suck.

Palmer's doesn't do jack shit anyway. The buttery bastards.

I actually used Palmer's like an idiot. My son is now 12 weeks old and adorable. My stomach? Looks like the stomach of an 80 year old. Oh, and those women that say, "it worked for me!" WERE NEVER GOING TO GET STRETCH MARKS ANYWAY!

They are not ugly, they add character!

Well, first off, I agree with Sarah - stretch marks are not ugly! The are tangible proof of how strong your body is and what it has been through. Don't let superficial societal standards affect your self-image. :)

Second, hi! I'm new to your blog and I love it. I'm also a graduate student in religious studies (I'm finishing my thesis right now!)

I like my stretch marks...for real...because I'm weird. But when they heal, they're all silver and pretty and not noticable really.

Unless your child starts COUNTING them when you go to the pool. OUT LOUD.

They go away. And I know, you're saying, you never were pregnant...

But puberty blessed me with stretchmarks, and they do fade a lot faster than you'd think. I only can tell up close, and sometimes only because I know they were there. Hugs.

Unfortunately, whether you get stretch marks or not is left up to your genes. Oddly enough, I didn't get any on my belly, but man oh man are my breasts literally littered with them. Bah.
