Yesterday Was A Very Exciting Day

For weeks, I have been telling anyone willing to listen that what I really wanted was to get to the point where people who didn't know me were positive that I was pregnant and not just really, really fat. Apparently, I have reached that point. Yesterday in the elevator at work, a woman who works on a different floor than me got on the elevator, took one look at the belly and said, "When are you due?" I could have kissed her. Instead, I just said, "April."

Evidence of the expanding belly:

Congrats! I remember when I was pregnant with my first child, it seems I gained a lot of weight everywhere BUT my tummy!

You look fabulous, btw. :)

What a great picture of you and your hubby! I'm so in the same boat as you are...HATE that "damn, she's gained a lot of weight" look that I get. I'm so ready for the "exciting" day to happen to me. No one has asked yet, but surely I'm looking not so fat by now. I'm also due in April. Btw, congrats!
(I'm sure your blog is a bit busy today with Amalah giving you props for the blanket. And yes, it is a beautiful blanket.)

Hooray! I'm due in February and I just had my first stranger reference my pregnancy without my talking about it first. It was a grocery store cashier, and when I repeatedly declined assistance out to my car she remarked to the bag girl "Pregnant women are always the most stubborn!" Prior to this people may have suspected I was pregnant, but apparently no one could tell with enough surety to allow them to spontaneously mention it. I could have kissed the cashier too. :-D Yay for big pregnant bellies!

Gorgeous picture! You look so happy and pregnant....a joy to see.

Also, love the blanket you made for Amalah- sweet little x's and o's.

I would say that you definitely look pregnant in this picture. For the people who did think that you just looked fat imagine the shock that they'll get right after April when you've lost all of that weight and won't tell them what your secret diet is.

Isn't that the best...when the belly looks like a baby's in there! The last five months are the most amazing...with all the biggness and kicking and jabbing and pushing and turning and tumbling and punching and the ever decreasing room for baby to move in. Isn't it amazing! When you get really big and closer to your due date...your stomach will distort in the most horrific of ways! Cherish every growing inch...it is so wonderful!

Almost forgot...your husband will appreciate the gimormous growth in your bosom as well!

April is a GREAT time to have a birthday. If I say so myself. :-)

(I'm a lurker here from Amalah.com)

Being 40+ weeks pregnant (due Dec 6), I know EXACTLY what you mean when you say you're finally "pregnant" enough looking. It was one of the highlights of pregnancy for me! Congratulations!
