Amalah's Baby Blanket

If you are here because you want to know more about the blanket that I made for Amalah, please leave me a comment (make sure you include your email address in the email address field) and I will be happy to send you the pattern.

If you want a Bethiclaus Creation of your very own, you have to be very nice to me and leave me lots of comments and then hold your breath and hope I have time to finish one for you. I've only done two blankets for the Internets, but I do love the traffic it gets me, and since I am a blog whore I would be happy to make more.

But not for another two weeks. Final exams, people.

Me! Me! I want a pattern! Please! Over here!
Although I have a feeling mine will look a lot more 'homemade' (ie misshapen) and 'crazy lady' than your rather perfect little blanket, despite my best efforts...
Thanks!

Girl, your gonna have 5 million requests for blankets. Whew, your gonna be busy.

I crochet as well, just not as good as you are......... I was taught by a lady who worked in my office, but is no longer here. Now i have to find someone to teach me something other than blankets!

How close to Florida are you? lol
Beauty of a blanket........

oooh, i was so hoping this would come up one day. i crochet all the time, and am hoping one day to graduate from just eyeballing it to real-life patterns. this one is gorgeous enough to be the kick in the pants i need to get started :)

I would lovelovelove the pattern for that blanket. My boyfriend's sister is preggers and I know she's love it. You are such a doll for sharing it. Best wishes to you and yours!

You are too funny. And too talented!

Yes, please! I would love to have the pattern, if only to remind myself how frightfully uncraftsy I am despite my best efforts. Also, I love your area of study. I majored in biology and religion and almost forgot Durkheim's name the other day b/c I haven't used it in so long. Boo.

I just want a blanket. Never mind that I have two Bethiclaus creations already. It takes all the fun out of it if I can make it myself!!

Posted by: Sarah at November 30, 2005 11:26 PM

Yeah, I am thinking just a blanket would be nice, I am cold! It is winter! I might even share with my kids! And if you had ever seen me try to knit you would send me a blanket too. Its a pretty sad state.

Please please send me the pattern! You are very crafty and talented :) The Amalah blanket is beautiful.

I would LOVE the pattern for Amalah's baby blanket! I've been searching and searching for one to make for my little man, and the one you made is my favorite! I'm so excited you're willing to share! :) Great blog, by the way.

Woohoo! Thank you so much for being willing to hand out the pattern to that adorable baby blanket! I can't wait to start on it - clearly I should ditch lab and buy yarn today.... : ) (And good luck with finals!)

Hi, I followed the link from Amalah's blog. I don't know how to crochet (so I won't be making a pattern request today). I'm more of a knitter, really. Anyway, I just wanted to say that I like your blog, and I hope you have a great afternoon!

Best of luck with your finals!

Posted by: Christina at December 1, 2005 02:35 PM

I don't want the pattern, but I did want to say good luck on your finals! I'm sure you'll do great! (also, thinking about finals makes me glad I finished grad school last spring!)

Sorry for the double comment. My computer is currently freaking out.

"I am a blog whore" bwaa-haa-haaa! I MUST learn to do something creative and send it to Amalah so people will come see me b/c I also am NOT above whoring myself out for the sake of my new blog.
Oh, and I commented yesterday about how I'm also due in April and can't wait for someone to recognize that I am pregnant and not fat and I'll be damned if it didn't just happen on my lunch break! YAY! I've only read your blog once but you are the first person I thought about. Funny and strange, I know.

I just came over from Amalah's to tell you that the green top in the post below is VERY slimming.

(I dont need a baby blanket - I'm a single, baby-free grad student).

Good luck with finals.

Oooo...gimme the pattern, gimme the pattern! Even if I never make it I will have it in my 'pattern bag.'

Posted by: sheilah at December 1, 2005 08:50 PM

An insomniac de-lurking to say, 1. you rock, love your blog, B. pattern me baby, and good luck with your finals! Thanks so very much.

The blanket is just lovely - I wish I knew how to crochet. I commend you for making so many blankets for people. As a knitter myself, I have made many scarves and hats for others, but LORDY - a blanket is a commitment. I am making one for my son, but it is questionable whether his future sibling will get one. :-)

I'd love the pattern! Thanks!

Also, I have finals in 2 weeks, too, so I'm feeling your pain. I keep muttering, "almost done...almost done...." like a crazy lady.

Bethiclaus,
I think you're pretty... and that maternity top you're wearing?
I seriously couldn't even tell you were pregnant.

Really... you're quite clever. I enjoy lurking on your blog...

now... I don't crochet.... I mean... I haven't... I could learn? Or you could send me a pattern for something I could KNIT!

Hey gal, faithful Amalah reader here, begging for the Noahlah blanket pattern :) Will read more when I have more time, but as it is 2:15am and I am stupid, I am going to bed now LOL

Posted by: Kirsten at December 3, 2005 03:24 AM

It's a beautiful blanket and I'd love to have the pattern. Best of luck with finals and your other 'project'!

Posted by: Leslie at December 6, 2005 02:57 PM

I must have that pattern as it's absolutely beautiful.

Posted by: Nancy at December 16, 2005 03:53 PM

I have pregnancy brain and gave you the wrong email in my prior comment! Please do forward the pattern as it's lovely!

Posted by: Nancy at December 27, 2005 04:18 PM

I'd really love to have your blanket pattern. (Yes, I got here after happening upon Amalah's blog recently.) Like others, I'm always glad to have something new to add to my pattern stash!!

Enjoying reading your archives...I agree, if we're Christans, but do not proclaim to be--how can we spread His Word?? If we don't do that--concerning the Great Commission...what on earth kind of Christian are we?????
